Don’t pack up that rain jacket and sweatshirt just yet, cold weather is expected to rattle Guangdong yet again tonight, the third notable cold snap this year in the southern Chinese province.
The Guangdong Meteorological Observatory has predicted a cold front to hit this evening, with temperatures plummeting from a low of 18.6 degrees Celsius Tuesday to a cool 7 degrees Celsius by Wednesday evening, according to GD Today.
The same report asserts that temperatures in northern Guangdong are expected to drop to a chilly low of 4 degrees Celsius.
Admittedly, The Weather Network offered far more optimistic view of the coming weather, offering a low of 11 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and 9 degrees Celsius on Thursday in Guangzhou (as of 9.30pm, March 8).
Naturally, weather this cold (this late in the season) brings back memories of a wee bit of snow in Guangzhou earlier this year – although folks in Guangzhou and Shenzhen can probably expect none of that.
Remember to pack that umbrella, as rain is also expected in Guangzhou and Shenzhen!
