January 8: New Year Gala by Paris Opera Ballet Dancers

January 9: Retrograde Poetry Exhibition
Yang Shun is a young Chinese oil painter based in Barcelona, who won the Annual Young Artist Award by Spain’s Caixa d’Art foundation. A graduate from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, Yang’s artworks has been exhibited domestically in major cities like Guangzhou, Beijing and Shanghai, as well as overseas in Spain, Germany and Italy. Her solo exhibition Retrograde Poetry at Kui Yuan Gallery explores the purport of our existence, inspiring us to look back in time and rediscover those dreams and pursues lost in all the noises and vanities within our heart. Find your answer to that profound question in the exhibition at Kui Yuan.

January 10: The Great Indian Mela
The Great Indian Mela is Guangzhou's first Indian food and culture festival, celebrating the sights, sounds and tastes of the world’s second-most populous country.
