Authorities in Guangzhou are warning creepily dressed Halloween revelers to stay off the metro this evening.

According to a transportation police Weibo post, "Passengers' strange behavior may make some feel uneasy, cause onlookers to panic and could easily lead to security risks."

The warning is aimed at keeping other public transport users feeling comfortable – something that is allegedly difficult if there is a blood-covered zombie next to you. (Insider tip: banana costumes are okay!)

Guangzhou is following Beijing’s lead, which threatened to arrest metro users wearing Halloween costumes last year.

Police are asking travelers to report anyone they see wearing spooky costumes to the nearest officer.
