With the phased development of the feminist movement in the 20th century, the rise of female consciousness showed significant phased changes in the Eastern and Western worlds, especially having a profound social impact on the modern process of China after the May Fourth New Culture Movement. The achievements and contributions of the 20th century Chinese female artist community in the Chinese art world have left a page for the development history of art in the era of multiculturalism to be supported.

This exhibition focuses on the artistic exploration process of He Xiangning, Feng Wenfeng, Li Qiujun, Chen Xiaocui, Zhou Jianxia, Gu Fei, Wu Qingxia, Lu Xiaoman, Guan Zilan, Fang Junbi, Yang Yinfang, and Yu Feng. It is divided into three chapters to showcase the representative works, letters, as well as literature such as Republic of China books, newspapers, and photos of 12 female artists. Based on the research on Chinese female art in the first half of the 20th century, this article showcases their development path and outstanding achievements in the field of Chinese art, revealing the main problems faced by female artists in the 20th century and their unique ways of responding to these problems.
