Project Jingle Bells is preparing to help the city’s homeless community in a major way. Their Christmas clothing and food drive provides the homeless with winter gear to stay warm, comfort food and holiday cheer. In the words Cathy O'Sullivan, one of the organizers for this grassroots food and clothing drive, "The homeless especially look forward to the Christmas drop off as it means they will not only receive gifts but also can celebrate with festive singing and dancing."
Project Jingle Bell is seeking volunteers to help distribute holiday care packages to the homeless in the area. They are also looking for donations of men’s winter clothing to help out those with no way of staying warm during the chilly nights. If you’ve got a car, you can be a major help as well. Know any hairdressers? Invite them along to help our city's homeless get a clean cut.
