Last year, the stage of Foshan Qiandeng Lake Music Festival saw the famous Chinese rock band Tang Dynasty and highly sought-after Secondhand Rose stirred up a fervent, sweating audience. This year’s edition also promises to deliver compelling shows. On the evening of this Friday, October 12, seven new and promising bands will perform in a competition, while a lineup of famous bands and musicians will put on their best music the next day.
The Saturday lineup includes Chengdu-based girl band The Hormones, who will rock the stage with their metal-dance-techno-pop music, China’s post-punk trailblazer Rebuilding the Rights of Statues (or simply as Re-TROS), folk musician Ma Tiao, whose music boasts a flawless combination of rock and Chinese folk music, to name just a few.
On top of live bands, a food market featuring 20 kinds of edibles as well as various other flea markets will keep you well engaged.
