Guangzhou’s reputation as a metal music city usually precedes it, and what better way to celebrate that sterling reputation than a festival in the height of summer. Mao Livehouse brings a group of six hard-rocking bands to town from far-flung locations like Shanghai, Changsha, Hong Kong and, of course, Guangzhou. Now in its eighth year, Hilltop Music Festival is a lovely evening of metal and hardcore for local fans.
