Four-act comedy The Seagull was considered one of Russian playwright Anton Chekov’s best works. It confronts the romantic conflict between the art and mundane daily life. This version, produced by Belarus’ National Academic Janka Kupala Theatre and winner of the country’s National Theatre Award, was deemed the best play of 2014 in Belarus.
