Mario Ferretti’s art begins with a child’s curiosity, an impulse we all had, to take things apart to understand their inner workings.

From a young age, this curiosity led him to dismantle objects in search of hidden connections.

What started as an exploration of the physical world evolved into a pursuit of art, where Ferretti now reassembles his findings into sculptures that speak of both mechanical precision and natural fluidity.

Ferretti’s work is a quiet act of discovery, one that brings together materials in conversation.

Each element—wood, metal, concrete, bronze—has a story to tell.

Wood, with its organic warmth, brings to mind memories; concrete and metal, with their urban detachment, anchor us to the present.

And bronze, with its timeless weight, carries echoes of history.

Ferretti listens to these materials and allows them to speak, creating a dialogue where contrast and harmony coexist, revealing something more than what’s immediately visible.

What sets Ferretti’s sculptures apart is their quiet sensitivity to space.

His forms shape the space.

Each gap, pause, and hollow is intentional, carrying as much emotional weight as the material itself.

Like a child arranging blocks, he gives equal attention to what is there and what is missing, letting absence become part of the story.

Fabrication spans three decades of Ferretti’s evolving practice, presenting iconic works as well as new pieces created during his residency in China.

The exhibition invites visitors into a space of quiet reflection, where absence and presence are equally valued.

Here, silence becomes its language, and materials reveal their more profound significance.
