The Peninsula Hong Kong has once again raised the bar for hotel luxury with the arrival of six new bespoke Rolls-Royce Phantom Extended saloons, further cementing its decades-long partnership with the iconic British marque.

Delivered on April 25, 2025, these meticulously handcrafted vehicles will enter service in late May, offering hotel guests a sublime new generation of high-end transport that combines Rolls-Royce’s storied craftsmanship with cutting-edge innovations.

“This new fleet represents a significant milestone in our commitment to providing the finest guest experiences,” said Joseph W.Y. Chong, Regional Executive Vice President, Asia, and Managing Director of The Peninsula Hong Kong.

“Much like The Peninsula, Rolls-Royce represents timeless style, impeccable quality, and the pinnacle of elegance."

"These new Phantoms allow us to extend our legendary hospitality far beyond our front doors.”

A Half-Century of Record-Breaking Collaboration

The relationship between The Peninsula and Rolls-Royce began in 1970 when the hotel placed what was then the largest-ever single order of Rolls-Royce cars—seven Silver Shadows—garnering global attention. That was only the beginning.

Further record orders followed: eight more Silver Shadows in 1976, nine Silver Shadow IIs in 1980, and eight Silver Spirits in 1987.

The collection grew again in 1994 with nine Silver Spur IIIs and the acquisition of a rare 1934 Phantom II Sedanca de Ville, a vintage showpiece that continues to grace the hotel’s fleet today.

Additional deliveries continued through the 1990s and early 2000s, culminating in a historic 2006 order of 14 Extended Wheelbase Phantoms finished in the hotel’s signature 'Peninsula Green.'

The latest addition of six Phantom Extended models builds upon this tradition of excellence and innovation, reinforcing The Peninsula Hong Kong’s reputation as the ultimate symbol of refined luxury.

Innovation Meets Heritage in the New Phantom

Originally launched in 1925, the Rolls-Royce Phantom has long been the preferred vehicle for royalty, world leaders, and A-list celebrities.

The 2025 models introduced to The Peninsula Hong Kong feature a reimagined front design with an illuminated grille, updated daytime running lights, new headlights, and refined alloy wheel aesthetics.

The dashboard incorporates a new-generation LED display with real-time performance data, temperature control, and navigation tools.

For entertainment and comfort, each car includes seamless Bluetooth integration, high-fidelity bespoke sound systems, and rear-seat luxuries such as massage and ventilation functions, adjustable footrests, and dedicated iPad storage compartments.

Additional details include personalised illuminated treadplates, anti-slip picnic tabletops, and expanded boot space for guests traveling with extra luggage.

A Fleet Steeped in History—and Glamour

Among The Peninsula Hong Kong’s illustrious fleet, the jewel remains the 1934 Phantom II Sedanca de Ville.

Painstakingly restored by Ashton Keynes Vintage Restorations in the UK, the vintage vehicle blends 1930s opulence with modern updates—right down to its open-air chauffeur seat and bespoke fittings tailored for contemporary passengers.

Alongside the new Phantom additions, the hotel also maintains an impressive lineup of Bentleys, Alphards, and privately chartered helicopters, offering seamless mobility with unmatched elegance across Hong Kong.

At the ceremonial handover held at The Peninsula’s grand forecourt, The Hon. Sir Michael Kadoorie, Non-Executive Chairman of The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited, received the keys to the six new Rolls-Royce Phantoms from Julian Jenkins, Director of Sales & Brand at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Limited—further solidifying the partnership between two of the world’s most iconic luxury institutions.
