In support of the Macao SAR Government's vision to elevate Macao's reputation as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, Studio City is always committed to introducing innovative and top-notch elements for promoting tourism development in the city.
In order to further diversify
the dining experiences for locals and tourists alike during the summer
holidays, Studio City's Spotlight restaurant is featuring the "Flavors
of Malaysia" Seafood Barbecue Buffet for the full month of August,
offering guests a tantalizing experience of Malay charm with the vibrant
flavors of authentic Malaysian delicacies.
Mr Cheng Wai Tong said in his speech: "As the Creative City of Gastronomy designated by UNESCO, Macao SAR offers high quality culinary options for all visitors. I am pleased to see Studio City bringing in the flavors of Malaysia into 'Spotlight' and deepen the synergy between 'tourism + gastronomy'."
Consul General Mr Muzambli Markam said in his remarks: "I am glad to
see the traditional Malaysian gastronomy being brought to Macao by
Studio City and showcasing the rich Malaysian culture with the authentic
flavors of Malaysia to all residents and tourists from around the
world."
Mr Evan Winkler also said in his speech: "Melco delicates to deliver world class experiences to Macao's residents and tourists. This year marks a significant year for Melco, who leads Macao with the greatest number of stars attained in MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong & Macao 2024. It is always our aim to present the best flavors from worldwide to continue to support the Macao SAR government and foster Macao's positioning as the UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy."
Aside from the ever-popular picks such as fresh oysters, seafood on ice and sashimi, Spotlight has turned into a paradise for Malaysian food lovers who enjoy classics and specialties such as Nasi Lemak (Traditional Fragrant Coconut Rice with Condiment and Spice Fried Chicken Wing), Abalone Bak Kut The (Traditional Malaysian Pork Rib Soup), laksa noodles with seafood, Nyonya Style Asam Pedas (Spicy Tamarind Fish), Beef Rendang (Beef Curry with Scented Coconut and Lime Leave), "Kambing Bakar" Masak Merah Style (Roasted Whole Lamb with Asian Spices), and also Ayam Percik (Malaysian Roasted Chicken with Spicy Creamy Coconut Sauce).
Nevertheless, the colourful dessert selection is also not-to-be-missed which is highlighted by the dedicated durian corner that features desserts made from Malaysian Musang King D197 and Sultan King D24 durians, such as crepes, egg tarts, puffs, macaroons and ice cream.
Guests can also order "Ais Kacang" (Shaved Ice with Palm Syrup and Condiments), Musang King Durian with Chestnut Mont Blanc, and Iced Cendol with Red Bean and Palm Sugar à la minute from the live station.
The "Flavors of Malaysia" Seafood Barbecue Buffet will allow guests to indulge in the diverse food culture of Malaysia at Spotlight every night from 6pm-10pm from now until August 31.
