The "Special Exhibition of Bronze Animal Heads from Old Summer Palace and Repatriated Cultural Relics from Overseas," jointly organized by the Zhuhai Museum, Poly Art Museum, and the Yuanmingyuan Management Office of Haidian District, Beijing, with support from the National Museum of China, opened at the Zhuhai Museum on March 5, 2024. The exhibition is divided into two main sections: "Gathering of the Glorious Era" and "Bronze Age," and will run until June 2. The highlight exhibits include the original ox, tiger, monkey, and pig heads from the Yuanmingyuan Haiyantang (displayed from March 5 to April 6, with replicas exhibited from April 7 to June 2), as well as replicas of the rat and rabbit heads, and a replica of the horse head. Additionally, some important bronze artifacts from the Poly Art Museum's collection will also be on display. This exhibition marks the second stop of the "Return of the Glorious Era" series after its debut at the Ordos Museum in December last year, showcasing the core lineup of "4+3" exhibits, including 4 original animal heads from the Poly Art Museum, a replica of the horse head provided by the Yuanmingyuan Management Office of Haidian District, and replicas of the rat and rabbit heads provided by the National Museum of China.
