The river is the soul of a city, and hosts the story of a city over the years. Shunde, known as the "City of Gastronomy", as a typical urban area, has embodied and presented two different shifts: the global imaginary from sucrose to factory manufacturing, and the transformation from mulberry dike-fish ponds to cane dike-fish ponds. 

The Consulate General of Switzerland in Guangzhou is pleased to present an exhibition "The Taste of Flow: Domestication of Pond and Sucrose" at the Shunde Food Museum from December 22, 2022 to March 21, 2023. The talented Swiss artist Marcel Zaes’s installation “In Idle Mode (Noise)” will give you a completely poetic sound experience.
