Young cashier hacked to death for charging customer for plastic bag

A young cashier at a supermarket in Zhumadian, Henan Province was hacked to death by an irrate customer over the weekend.

According to the victim's family, the killer asked for a shopping bag when he got to checkout on Saturday morning but refused to pay when the cashier informed him that they charged for bags. 

An argument there followed , and ended with the cashier, in her 20s, having her right ear and right hand chopped off. Photographs [Warning: graphic images] show the victim, covered in knife wounds, dead on the ground outside.

The incident occured in Zhumadian, Pingyu County, which was previously the scene of a bloody attack against school chidren in October last year. 

Local authorities have said that they are now investigating the case.
