Take Rambo, and put him in China. Then put a shirt on him and make him a woman, and that's essentially what we're looking at here. A 22-year-old policewoman spotted a robbery going down in Anshun, Guizou Province, and she stepped in to save the day - despite the fact that she was unarmed and alone, and the robber had a 60-centimeter machete.

Cau Yu, hero, wrestled the machete-flinging assailant for five full minutes until backup arrived. She got wounded in the shoulder, and kept fighting.

Cao "was bleeding all over her body, but she was still keeping a firm grip on the suspect," says Xinhua

When the attacker was finally subdued, Cao was taken to the hospital, where she was treated for wounds in her hands and shoulder.

The only way this story could have been even cooler is if Cao had disarmed the attacker with her kung fu skills - but that's just asking too much, isn't it?
