Like Mark Zuckerberg, we can't get enough of ol' Uncle Xi's writings - the man has a way with words. But On the Governance of China - one of our favorites - weighs in at a hefty 470 pages. We have the kindle version, obviously, but now the Party School of the Communist Party of China Central Committee has taken commie-convenience to the max: a Xi Jinping app.
The app is playfully titled 学习中国, which has two meanings: "Study China" and "Study Xi's China." The program's contents tends towards the latter: there's no national history here, just collections of Xi Jinping's speeches, writings and musings.
We know what you're thinking, but fear not! Each snippet of Xi is fully documented, along with "analyses from experts" and even a map that lets you see what Xi has been up to lately. Unfortunately, there are no angry birds.
According to the New York Times, some internet users have dubbed this the "Little Red App," but we doubt the comparison will last too long - Mao's little volume was, for a brief period of time, the most-published book in the world. No offense meant to daddy Xi, but we have our doubts that this is viral gold.
