We've heard our fair share of moaning from most of the world about the behavior of Chinese tourists abroad. The list of destinations shocked by mainland visitors famously include Hong Kong, the Paracel Islands, Japan, Thailand, most recently Italy, and even in China's Mainland itself, among many others. Fortunately, defender of the faith, People's Daily, has managed to come up with ten examples of laowai behaving badly, stretching back to 2007, in an infographic that fights back at the foreign hostile forces that have undermined China's soft power.

Although there are countless examples of foreigners seriously behaving like idiots while in China, the People's Daily seems to take less umbrage with the dangerous kind, and saves its scorn for such sociopaths as kids who climb trees, Great Wall campers, popcorn-eaters, and couples taking up four-person benches. I mean, the incivility is sickening.

Granted, pissing off of the Great Wall and jumping into an antique to have your photo taken is pretty uncouth. But hopefully this graphic will serve less to inflame nationalistic fervor, as photos of laowai in China are wont to do, but rather show that we're all pretty much the same when it comes to not giving a shit when in other people's countries. Uncivilized people of the world unite!
