A 26-year-old Chinese woman has accused two security guards at Jakarta's Soekarno–Hatta International Airport of drugging and then raping her after she approached them to ask for directions.

Since the alleged victim could not understand English or Indonesian, she reportedly "used body language" to ask the men where one could take a nap nearby. After being drugged and losing consciousness, she was reportedly taken to a nearby hotel, raped, and held there for two days.

She was later discovered weeping in terminal one of the Indonesian capital's airport on December 23.

The security personnel, aged 26 and 32, have been suspended from duty. Although they have not yet been arrested, the pair could face prison sentences of 12 years if convicted.
