Poor choice of headline on day for disabled in China

ECNS, the Chinese state news aggregator, this morning posted a lead news story about children with learning difficulties joining in a sports day at their school in Dongzhong, near Suzhou. Unfortunately, the translator made and posted a poor choice of words for a headline. See the story here. [Has now been updated to just 'Students']

Today is the UN's 'International Day of Persons with Disabilities'. Though it is indeed progressive that China observes this tradition, the post above highlights the importance of language and how lazy translations can cause offense.
