A beauty pageant for sweet potatoes was held in Guangxi over the weekend to cut through the usual pageant bullshit and celebrate true beauty for once.
On top of the standard beauty contest criteria of weight and appearance, the sweet potatoes were also judged by their texture, because people for some reason decided to care about inner beauty this time.
As bizarre as this beauty pageant may seem, at least it didn’t have bikini-clad women milling around the potatoes like this Miss Dairy Cow beauty contest.
