A Shandong real estate company installed a display of gold bars reportedly* worth 150 million yuan ($24 million) in its sales centre on May 17.

The firm, Gold International, used 500 kilograms (1,100 lb) of gold to create the "yellow brick road" in the lobby of their Zibo headquarters. Discounted gold jewelry was also sold at the marketing event.

What bubble

*While Chinese media is reporting the figure as true, this screams of bullshit. Visitors have no way of checking if the gold is real, why not use fake bricks or one-sided gold bricks?
