10,000 passengers were delayed in Taiwan after problems with a faulty railway switch affected 24 trains on the island's high speed line.
An operator said the malfunction near Taipei Station delayed 24 trains by an average of five minutes. The number includes 13 trains that were delayed by 30 minutes. The glitch occurred at 9:24am, and affected high speed services between Taipei and Banqiao until 1:00pm.
