Officer goes along with wino's mythical quest

An Yangzhou officer played along with a drunkard claiming to be a mythical character on a quest to find his brother, 'the monkey king'.

The inebriated man was found slumped by gates to a police station in the Jiangsu province city on Friday night. He had previously been heard mumbling about Chinese literary classic "Journey To The West", as he stumbled through the city streets.

An officer tried to persuade the boozer to enter the police station when the man adopted a tai chi pose and shouted "I'm the Jiangxi White Dragon Horse!". Luckily, the officer had heard of the story and played along, telling the man he would help him find his "master and two brothers."

Despite initially yelling at the policeman "stay away from me you monster!", the man was eventually persuaded that the patient officer was in fact helping him to fight the mythical beasts and got him indoors.

The man was later happily picked up by his co-worker, repeatedly telling him "You're finally here, bro."
