Jealous husband detained after attacking gynaecologist

A possessive dickbag husband beat up his wife's gynaecologist on Monday after feeling "extremely uncomfortable" by the doctor examining her.

The husband, surnamed Zhang, beat up the doctor two hours after he reportedly performed a routine checkup of his wife who had recently had a caesarean. A family member and friend of Zhang's also joined in with the attack at the hospital in Shuyang county, Jiangsu Province.

The 24 year old gynaecologist, Liu Yongsheng, is being treated for a fractured skull, hearing loss and other minor injuries.

The attack has provoked a wave of criticism online, with one commentator labelling the act as "literally the behaviour of downright thugs". Another said "on no account should one beat others, especially doctors... They save lives".

Although some have sympathised that a male gynaecologist might cause discomfort, most are doggedly against the attack.

Liu and his two accomplices have been detained by police.
