10,250 people yesterday took part in a traditional umbrella dance in Jinghong city, Yunnan province, breaking previous world records and creating some dazzling photos.

Usually the hundreds-of-years-old dance is performed by a small group of people from China's Dai ethnic minority when celebrating festival days. This year however, over 10,000 gathered to perform the dance using orchestrated movements and umbrellas, and wearing brightly coloured costumes that matched the brollies.
