It’s happened folks, Jeremy ‘Linsanity’ Lin is moving to the Middle Kingdom to spice up the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). The NBA champion signed with the Beijing Ducks, confirming the news via his Instagram account on Tuesday.

The Ducks are the third-most winningest team in the CBA, but last made a finals appearance back in the 2014-2015 season. It’s hard to believe that this will be Lin’s first stint in Asia, considering quotes that he gave to Taiwan News in July. “About five years ago, I began to consider whether I should play basketball in Asia because every year when I visit the region, I see so many fans.”

According to CBS Sports, the former New York Knicks phenom didn’t receive any offers from NBA teams, with the start of the new season less than two months away on October 22. Lin addressed this in a widely publicized speech at an event in Taiwan, where the California-born baller said that he felt like the NBA had “kind of given up on me.”

One person who is delighted to see the former Toronto Raptors guard join up with Beijing Ducks is former That’s contributor and Barstool Sports foreign correspondent Donnie Does, but not in a way you’d expect. Shanghai Sharks superfan Donnie told us “I’m sure he’s a nice guy, but I’ve been in need of a new arch-nemesis for a while. All the love he will get in China will help counteract the hate he gets from me, though.” Donnie had a longstanding and well-documented enmity with former Beijing Ducks superstar Stephon Marbury.
