After the announcement of Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United in Shanghai, Relevent Sports Group (RSG) have revealed another epic International Champions Cup (ICC) clash, with two Italian giants – Juventus and Inter –  bringing the storied Derby D’Italia to China at Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre on July 24.

The century-old Derby D’Italia is renowned internationally for the high level of football and the extraordinary passion it evokes on the pitch and in the stands. In this year’s ICC, Chinese fans will have the chance to see the Derby D’Italia in person for the very first time.

Juventus and Inter are two of the most popular international clubs in China. Recent successes, including winning eight consecutive Serie A titles, and last year’s signing of global superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, have helped grow Juventus’ Chinese fanbase exponentially.

Inter was the first top European club to visit China in 1978, and has since made many subsequent tours, winning tens of thousands of new fans with every visit.

"We are happy to participate in the International Champions Cup once again this year and to return to China after our great experience in the Italian Super Cups in 2012 and 2015. We are also proud and aware that this game can be an excellent driving force for Italian football in China," said Giorgio Ricci, Chief Revenue Officer of Juventus.

"The international development strategy is fundamental for the growth of Juventus, while a key pillar of this strategy is also to build our presence in China. We aim to interact with a huge number of fans and offer unique experiences that are distinctive to the Chinese football enthusiasts," Ricci concluded.

"We’re happy and proud to bring the spectacle of the Derby D’Italia to China for our Chinese fans to enjoy," said Luca Danovaro, Chief Marketing Officer of FC Internazionale Milano.

"Nanjing is a unique place to host such an important match, a city with a unique history and heritage, deeply connected with the Club and where large numbers of fans passionately support our team in every match we play. We are convinced that the match on July 24 will be a unique event which combines the atmosphere around this huge clash with the passion and joy of our Chinese fans.

"The Inter brand is a global brand: the club has over 390 million fans, 120 of whom live in China, who will now have a chance to support the team in person. We’re in no doubt that they’ll make us feel right at home."

If you cannot make it to Nanjing, the 2019 International Champions Cup Nanjing will be broadcast by CCTV and digital broadcaster PPTV, reaching millions of viewers across China.\

Commercial interest in the China edition of the International Champions Cup remains strong since its return to Nanjing, with several major corporate brands joining the sponsor family.

Baidu is the Official Search Engine of International Champions Cup China and will be streaming all 18 matches on their digital platforms. As the most popular search platform in China, Baidu will provide access to the huge football fanbase in China to catch their favorite clubs in action.

Consumer electronics giant Sony returns as the Official Television Sponsor of the International Champions Cup China. Sony BRAVIA OLED TV provides premium & high visual quality immersive soccer experiences to fans. Creators of the Pro Evolution Soccer series, Konami, also returns as the official Electronic Gaming Partner. Finally, Adidas will provide the official ball for the Nanjing match.
