During a meeting with Russian minister of internal affairs Vladimir Kolokotlsev in Beijing Monday, Chinese state councillor Guo Shengkun said the two countries should join together to fight the 'three evil forces'.
Guo, who is also minister of public security, said the two countries should enhance cooperation to better combat the "three evil forces of terrorism, separatism and extremism", as well as tackle "cyber and drug crime and transnational organized crime, improve efficiency on crime investigation, arresting and repatriation of criminal suspects".
During the meeting, the two sides also discussed "ways to intensify joint efforts towards the soonest resumption of the six-nation negotiations, which they defined as the optimal format for settling the nuclear problem of the Korean Peninsula." This follows shock in China and elsewhere over the abrupt purge and execution of the uncle of North Korean despot Kim Jong-un, who had strong ties to China.
