WATCH: Has Magician Anson Chen Predicted the World Cup Winner?

Anson Chen, owner and Managing Director of Bund18, and the man behind Blackstone Magic Bar, is a fine magician. But is he a World Cup mystic too? Just before England's Group G game against Panama yesterday, Sunday, June 24, he had his colleague Elliot pass That's Shanghai's very own Ned Kelly an envelope which he claims contains not only the eventual winner of the World Cup, but the score line by which they will win.

Kelly was then invited to take the envelope and scribble whatever he wanted all over it in his unintelligible and inimitable style. And then take it home and hide it from the world (and especially Anson Chen, who is traveling in Europe and so could not change the content of the envelope even if he wanted to). Despite the severe temptation to open it and bet his life savings on the winner, it will remain sealed in Kelly's apartment until the end of the World Cup Final.

Anson Chen - football mystic?

The envelope will be opened by Kelly himself (nope, not by the sleight-of-hand Chen) outside Blackstone Magic Bar in Found 158 immediately following the final whistle of the World Cup Final on Sunday, July 15 (or early morning Monday, July 16, if you are a pedant...)

[Editor's note: please, please, PLEASE let it be football coming home!]
