Chinese viral video hits back at Jimmy Kimmel controversy

When Jimmy Kimmel hosted a roundtable discussion with children for his October 16 show and asked their opinion on how America should settle its $1.3 billion debt with China, he probably wasn't expecting one of them to say 'Kill everyone in China'.

Everything was calm...until that is Asian Americans and Asian Asians heard about what happened. Petitions to have the show investigated were signed by almost 100,000 people and some even compared Kimmel to Hitler.

Now in a new twist, a video explains why America shouldn't kill everyone on China (besides a basic disapproval of genocide) and it's gone viral on the Chinese Internet with almost 50,000 views on Youku in one day. According to Global Voices, the video was created by marketing company vmini.com and published by dig.chouti.com, a portal similar to reddit.com.

The video points out how much China's bond purchases have helped the U.S. economy, how hard Chinese people work, the country's resilience and even points out how much it would cost to kill everyone in China, therefore pushing America further into debt.

It all seems to be meant in good humor, but Jimmy Kimmel might be wondering by now when on earth this story is going to go away. Kimmel and ABC have apologized for any offense caused by the incident.
