A strange situation unfolded yesterday on Guangzhou's Liede Bridge, when a young man climbed one of the structure’s large tension cables and shaved his head.

The incident began around 3pm, according to Southern Metropolis News reporter Zhang Yixin, when a man wearing a black backpack scaled the support cable, sporting a safety rope attached to his waist.

An article by Southern Metropolis News has put the man’s age at approximately 20 years old. The same report also states that the man was still hanging out above the bridge deck when Zhang left the area at 6pm.
