5 Things: Shanghai Love Notes

That's series where we ask a Shanghai-based somebody to tell us 5 Things specific to his or her life.

Shanghai Love Notes is a community project that combines poetry, quotes, and photography to tell stories of Shanghai and stories of the heart. What started initially as a hobby turned into a passion for founder Gabby, which helped her connect more deeply with Shanghai.

Love isn't always an obvious gesture; it can be displayed in the most mundane tasks. Through her work, Gabby sends messages of hope and inspiration from everyday inside stories of humanity that we may pass by without a second notice. She often interviews her subjects to better understand their individual stories.

Gabby is opening up Shanghai Love Notes to be a community project, and invites others to submit their own photos or stories to be featured on the official account and website, both of which will be launching in March.
