Now based in Bangkok, Hungarian photographer and filmmaker Nicky Almasy has been in Shanghai for a month working on a new project shooting the buildings designed by Hungarian architect Laszlo Hudec, who was active in the city from 1918 to 1945.
With the help of the Hungarian consulate and support of the Shanghai’s district offices it was possible to shoot the buildings not only from the outside, but also from the inside. Below is a sneak peak at the work he has been doing.
Almasy will also be doing a talk at 8pm tonight at The Apartment. Entry to that is free and it will be 2-for-1 drink for the evening (more details on that talk right here).
