A dream a day keeps the doctor away... at least according to Chinese health authorities.

People's Daily reports that China’s top health authority released updated guidelines on leading healthier lives, and daydreaming made the list. In addition to the standard tips (i.e. exercising for one hour each day), the guidelines also recommend adding five minute of daydreaming into your daily routine.

According to the guidelines, being healthy isn’t just about your physical state, but mental as well. Wu Tao, an emotions management expert, said that living with long-term emotion problems could lead to very serious health issues. Tao says that emotional distress can lead to cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal disease and even cancer. Wu recommends analyzing your own emotional state and learning ways to control emotions and channel them into inspiration and productivity.

So will these new guidelines lead to more 'Staring Blankly Competitions' in the future? We hope so.
