A train from Beijing West Station headed to Shenzhen North Station fell victim to a rather ‘steamy’ situation when a power outage rendered its air conditioning system useless – forcing passengers to endure 40 degree Celsius temperatures for two hours, according to Chengdu Business Daily

The high-speed train quickly sold out of water and doors were forced open to offer some air-flow to the vehicle’s oven-like interior.

Nearly 1,000 people were trapped inside the train during the ordeal and, as you can probably imagine, shirts came off immediately.
