Beijing Restaurant Serves Up Meat-Wrapped Barbie Hotpot

We’ve seen a lot of different kinds of hotpots in Beijing. But one served with a side of nude Barbie doll wrapped in strips of mutton? We just didn’t see that coming.

Recently a photo has been circulating around on Weibo showing this somewhat bizarre spin on a traditional hotpot. In this version, which is served up by a Beijing restaurant, Barbie is wrapped in a red-and-white marbled “gown.” The idea is that customers strip (get it? strip?) Barbie as they eat. Leaving poor helpless Barbie more and more scantily clad until... well, you get the idea.

Do you feel kind of dirty? So do we.

Judging from the reaction online, people are slightly upset with the entire concept. And the photos have many commenting that the Beijing Barbie hotpot is both sexual and sexist, Shanghai Daily reports.

We're all for weird foods at That's Beijing, but this one might be too weird for us.
