A cringe-worthy video of a woman getting her hair ripped off after attempting to perform the "Corn Drill Challenge" has recently gone viral in China.
The video shows a woman named Liu Jiaojiao having a chunk of her hair ripped off after it gets caught on a power drill with a corn cob attached. The Corn Drill Challenge is a popular stunt which involves eating an entire ear of corn as quickly as possible by attaching it to the end of a drill.

Following the incident, Liu videoblogged her post Corn-gate adventures. In one video, she is shown getting consultation from a doctor, while in another she is filmed covering up the bald spot with a hat.
Some have speculated that Liu staged the video as part of an elaborate viral marketing stunt. Liu, who isn't exactly new to viral video fame, has built up a huge presence on the Kuaishou video app, boasting over 1 million followers. Under the username Liujiaojiao08, she posts daily videos, usually of herself eating different types of snacks.
Above, Liu eats fake pig skin, puts plastic wrap around her face and tries scorpions on a stick.
Liu has dismissed the allegations of faking the stunt, insisting that the bald spot is real. "People have been accusing me of doing this for popularity, but as a girl I wouldn't do that," she says in one of her videos.
