On a recent trip to Shanghai, Jermaine Jackson reportedly discussed future plans to establish a Neverland-style theme park in Shanghai. Based on Neverland Valley Ranch, Michael Jackson's home and private amusement park, the theme park will supposedly be entirely dedicated to the pop icon.
Last week, Jermaine was apparently scoping out potential venues in Shanghai, including the Baoshan Cruise Terminal and Gucun Park in the Baoshan District. According to Weibo, this was Jermaine's first visit to Shanghai.
In addition to searching for venues, Jermaine also met with various music studios to search for new and upcoming talent in Shanghai's music scene. This marks the first sign of cooperation between Shanghai music studio Hollywood Culture Industrial Investment (Shanghai) Co. and the Jackson's family studio, the EMPEROR Group. Jermaine was also recently asked to direct music for the upcoming documentary, "Jews' Stories in Shanghai."

Plans for a Neverland-style theme park ultimately come seven years after Michael Jackson's passing. The original Neverland Valley Ranch in California, fitted with several amusement rides and a petting zoo, was put up for auction last year. While the Ranch still hasn't found an owner, its listed selling price is USD100 million. It seems likely that Michael would approve of the location his brother has chosen for the park, as he once had a very enjoyable visit to China and found the Chinese children to be quite charming, reportedly saying, "When I saw the Chinese kids, I couldn’t resist them."
