It’s not all that uncommon to see strange things on the streets of Beijing. It is, after all, a city of more than 21 million people. Weird stuff is just bound to happen. But a scantily clad milk lady leading a cow through the streets of downtown Beijing is surely going to turn heads.
And that’s exactly what happened this past weekend in Beijing when a provocatively dressed “milk sister” led her black-and-white spotted cow down the streets of Chaoyang, NetEase reports. And yes, she did don a black-and-white outfit, presumably to match the cow. Twinsies!
On a quest to promote and sell “organic” milk to Beijingers, the woman stopped every so often to milk the cow and sell fresh (and we mean fresh) milk to the curious passersby who gathered around to watch the spectacle. Many even joined in on the fun and had a go at milking the cow themselves.
The fresh milk went for RMB8 per container and quickly sold out. Not bad considering the recent disinterest in Chinese-produced milk. We suppose the scheme to sell “organic” milk was a success – but seriously, that poor cow.
