20,000 Chinese-Made Ivanka Trump Scarves Recalled

20,000 scarves from Ivanka Trump's fashion line were recently recalled because they failed to meet the flammability standards set by the US Product Safety Standards Commission. As you may know, Ivanka Trump is the daughter of a certain Donald Trump, who is a major contender in the 2016 US presidential elections.

You may have also noticed that he is rather fixated on China

If you've been paying attention to Donald Trump's presidential campaign you will know that he has been attacking American companies who outsource jobs and manufacturing to China and Mexico. He has dissed Ford Motors and Apple, and even threatened a boycott of Oreo Cookies. Ouch.

Curiously, Donald Trump himself has outsourced a great deal of jobs and manufacturing to China. In 2012, David Letterman called Trump out for manufacturing Donald J. Trump suits, Donald J. Trump shirts and Donald J. Trump ties in China, alongside a few other developing nations.fbpost.jpgThose 20,000 flammable scarves manufactured for his daughter's company were also made in China. As well as running her own business, Ivanka has actively campaigned for 'The Donald' and publicly supported his principles and policies – which both father and daughter seem not to give a damn about in their real lives.cnbc-fatheranddaghter.jpgfootwear.png[Images via truth-out.orgTwitterCNBC, Gawker]
