A Shenzhen resident has been identified as the Chinese victim of the Brussels bomb attacks on March 22, according to Shenzhen Daily.
The man, Deng Jingquan, was among the 35 confirmed dead after coordinated suicide attacks rocked Brussels Airport and the Maalbeek subway station – located in the center of the city. More than 300 people were injured in the attacks, which were claimed by ISIS.
The Chinese Embassy in Belgium reported receiving a missing person’s report after the attacks and on Friday it was confirmed that a Chinese national was killed at the Brussels airport.
Deng Jingquan, also known as Frank Jingquan, worked as a medical equipment salesman at a Shenzhen company. He was at Brussels Airport on March 22 to board a flight to Ljubljana at 9:05am.
The suicide attacks were the biggest and deadliest acts of terrorism Brussels has ever seen.
