Following the big announcement earlier this week that the Shanghai Disney Resort would be opening on June 16, the Shanghai Metro released photos of the resort's new metro station on its official WeChat account earlier today. (Spoiler alert: it's pretty boring).
The station, which is the last stop on the new 9.2 km extension to Line 11, is colorfully designed with custom LED lights in the ceiling and a skylight allowing natural daylight to shine through. Resort-goers arriving from the Metro will then enter the park through an underground passageway.
About three out of a total of 60 trains on Line 11 will have Disney elements painted on and inside the trains. Since the trains will still mainly be serving normal commuters, they haven't been customized for the resort like the ones in Hong Kong:
