Looking like Barack Obama wouldn’t be so bad, he’s famous, handsome and one of the world’s most powerful men.

For most of us, taking on the appearance of the 44th president of the United States would require time consuming and expensive cosmetic surgery, but a man in Guangzhou managed it with simply some good genes.

Xiao Jiguo, a 29-year-old migrant worker originally from Sichuan, has gained considerable attention as an Obama look-alike, even starring in his own web miniseries where he takes girls on dates – as Obama.

His fame began in 2012 when a friend uploaded a video of him singing online. Xiao's singing didn’t net him any praise from netizens, but his presidential-like appearance became the talk of the net.

Since then Xiao has spent countless hours watching footage of President Obama to master his mannerisms and has even had minor plastic surgery done to look more presidential, according to numerous media reports.

"Besides waxing my eyebrows, I only need a shirt, a tie and a black suit to get by," Xiao told The Global Times.
