'Haunted house' in Zhejiang was just really creepy brothel

For the last several months, residents of Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, thought ghosts had moved into an abandoned factory in town. The building was located just near a cemetery, with all of its doors and windows sealed shut - and every night, lights would mysteriously turn on inside.

It turns out that the building wasn't filled with ghosts - it was just the creepiest brothel of all time.

Villagers told police about the mysterious happenings, and were presumably surprised that the cops didn't walk out with any ghosts in cuffs - instead, they just two (living, non-paranormal) prostitutes.

Eventually the police arrested five people involved with the prostitution ring, according to SCMP.

The 'World's Creepiest Brothel' joins other lovely headlines coming from Zhejiang Province lately, along with 'China's Biggest Meth Wedding' and 'Worst Recreation of 50 Shades of Grey.' That is one troubled province.
