King of the tuhao: Wang Jianlin's son spends RMB250,000 on gold Apple Watches for his dog

Wang Jianlin is one of the richest men in China. Wang Sicong is his son. Keke is the son's pet husky, who is now the proud owner of two golden Apple Watches worth RMB250,000. And who says wealth doesn't trickle down?

"I have new watches! I'm supposed to have four watches since I have four long legs," Keke (well, Sicong, while channeling his dog) posted on Weibo. "But that seems too tuhao [rich and vulgar] so I kept it down to two, which totally fits my status. Do you have one?"

Keke currently has 700,000 followers on Weibo, which we're pretty sure is one of the signs of the apocalypse.

“In the days that followed [posting the image] reactions from Chinese netizens have been growing increasingly irate,” says The Telegraph. This is a prime example of “the growing wealth gap between China's newly minted billionaires and regular people.” It also plays into the stereotype that a giant number of China's billionaires are comically out of touch with the normals - we thought spending a fortune on Tibetan Mastiffs was bad, but we had no idea that even the dogs were going to become tuhao.

We eagerly look forward to reading Keke's stats to see how many steps this pampered pooch takes per day.
