On September 12, the Waldorf Astoria Beijing welcomed its 10th anniversary celebration during the golden autumn season. The celebration, themed ‘A Night to Remember,’ presented a feast of Eastern and Western cultures to every guest present.
This event was not only a celebration of the hotel's ten-year long, glorious journey, but also a transcending cultural dialogue – skilfully blending the Waldorf brand's golden age of New York with the traditional Beijing courtyards.
Ms. Christina Yang, General Manager of Waldorf Astoria Beijing, said "Over these ten years, we have sought innovation and change, and our team has always adhered to a sincere and elegant service spirit, providing every guest with an unforgettable luxury experience, becoming the place of stay for leaders and celebrities from all walks of life. We sincerely thank every guest for their support and companionship."
After Mr. Qian Jin, President of Hilton Greater China and Mongolia, dotted the eyes of the traditional lion dance, the celebration officially commenced in the courtyard. One of the highlights of this celebration was the unprecedented transnational four-hand gourmet feast.
Waldorf Astoria Beijing is honored to have invited Michelin three-star chef Heinz Beck from La Pergola at the Waldorf Astoria Rome, who is collaborating with Michelin one-star chef James Wang from the Zijin Mansion at the Waldorf Astoria Beijing. Together, they will create a series of banquet delicacies that blend authentic Italian cuisine with the essence of Chinese culinary arts.
Additionally, the Waldorf Astoria Beijing is fortunate to have the support of its hotel partners – including Parsons Music, Aston Martin Beijing, and MOLI, as well as the global Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts and luxury travel partners.
They provided generous travel prizes for the evening – with lucky guests winning luxury stay vouchers at Waldorf Astoria hotels worldwide and business class tickets from United Airlines for round-trip flights from Beijing to the United States.
As one of the most popular hotels under the Waldorf Astoria brand, the Waldorf Astoria Beijing creates a paradise with exquisite craftsmanship and sincere elegant service – endowing guests with unforgettable beautiful memories.
In addition to the highly anticipated feast experience, the Waldorf Astoria Beijing has also opened a ‘Remount to Decade’ art gallery space for the renowned artist Ling Jian – whose painting ‘Court Guard’ has been displayed on the first floor of the hotel for ten years.
The exhibition features seven works by Mr. Ling Jian – fully showcasing the changes in his mindset over the past decade. At the opening of the art exhibition, Mr. Ling Jian introduced the theme of the exhibition to the guests and retraced the process of his creation. The ‘Decade’ Ling Jian Art Exhibition is open to the public from September 12 until December 10, and it is located in the gallery space on the first floor of the Waldorf Astoria Beijing.
