Universal Beijing Resort has announced a new COVID measure which applies to all guests from Friday, April 29 onwards.
According to a post on the Resort’s WeChat Official Account, guests must show proof of a negative nucleic acid test for COVID-19 issued within 24 hours.
This applies to anyone entering Universal CityWalk Beijing, Universal Studios Beijing and either of the two onsite hotels (The Universal Studios Grand Hotel and NUO Resort Hotel).
That’s in addition to other requirements such as scanning the Beijing Health Kit (北京健康宝) upon arrival, showing valid ID and showing a booking code to enter Universal Studios Beijing.
The Resort will remain open as normal. However, as stated in the WeChat post, guests who bought tickets for the park can seek help through relevant ticket purchasing channels should they be unable to visit due to COVID-19.
Beijing has been battling a new outbreak of the virus in the past few days. So far, a total of 138 confirmed cases have been reported in the latest outbreak. Chaoyang district has been hardest hit.
In Tongzhou, the district in which Universal Beijing Resort is located, it was announced that primary and middle schools, as well as kindergartens, would temporarily suspend offline classes.
