In creating its new line of amenities, The Peninsula Hotels aims to create top-quality locally-inspired bath products such as shampoo, conditioners, shower gels, body milk and soap. Each product features fragrances curated by talented locals whose knowledge of locally-sourced ingredients gives guests a truly immersive local experience. Meng Gu’s bergamot, black pepper and amber fragrance can be found at The Peninsula Beijing.

Eco-friendly Ingredients and Packaging

The new line of bespoke amenities only use natural ingredients such as shea butter, sweet almond oil and olive oil. Products are gluten-free, soy-free and do not use any harmful chemicals.

Packaging is 99.9% free of single-use petroleum plastics. Containers for body milk, shower gel, shampoo and conditioners are made of 45% recycled aluminum. Container caps use recyclable metal alloy while shower caps, toothbrushes and razors use eco-friendly materials made from corn starch, wheat, wood and recycled metal.

Certified sustainable paper packaging can be found on the inside with UV-oil and a perforated tamper-evident seal.
