Nihao Nihao concert series at Yue Space will bring different themes each day, starting with electronic beats from Shii, West by West and Zeming Xu. The music scene of South China will also be highlighted with smoother melodies from Dongwuyuan Dingzihu, Rejian Bei Shashou and Hoo!, followed by soul/R&B from newcomers Chen Jialin, Mia Aim, SwagKelly and BowAsWell.

Dec 18: Parents' Workshop @ House of Knowledge
Learning languages is important when kids are young. The 'Jolly Phonics Methodology' is a globally-recognized, fun and helpful tool to teach kids who aren't native English speakers. At this workshop, you will be able to learn how House of Knowledge applies this teaching approach into daily English education of the students, as well as how parents can inspire their kids’ love of learning outside of school.

Dec 19-29: Les Choristes
Les Choristes’ plot involves a widely successful orchestra conductor Pierre Morhange, who returns to France when his mother dies. During childhood, as a badly-behaved son of single mother Violette, he is enrolled in a boarding institution. A new teacher Claymont Mathieu assembles a choir to brighten up the school, leading to the discovery of Morhange’s musical and physical talents and transformation in the students.

Dec 20-29: European Union Film Festival
The European Union Film Festival is the annual flagship European cultural event in China, presenting a veritable feast for filmgoers of all tastes, with more than 30 movies and 200 total screenings in seven cities around the country. The screening in Beijing will include some of the newest films of the year and several classics showcasing the artistic legacy of European cinema. For the full list of films, click here.

Dec 21: Immortal Valley Loop Hike
Join Beijing Hikers as they take adventurers on a picturesque journey through the Miyun hills and valleys. Expect to see frozen waterfalls, ridged cliffs, and pine trees in abundance on this 14-kilometer hike. Climbing to a high peak, you’ll have the opportunity to take in the stunning scenery during your ascent and descent of the trail. Due to the relative difficulty of the hike, this is recommended for experienced hikers and those with a higher fitness level.

Dec 22 & 23: Master Ink Festival @ Beersmith
Beersmith hosts a two-day tattoo extravaganza featuring 90 top tattoo masters presenting their unique designs. The main attraction also includes a tattoo competition and, of course, delicious craft beer from Beersmith! Want to get inked? A two-day pass gets you one tattoo (maximum 10 centimeters). Feel free to bring your own design or choose from the original creations of the 90 participating artists.
