Decades is a streetwear boutique for the city’s most on-point skater fashion aficionados. Set in the Sanlitun 3.3 building, the hip retailer embodies a sort of global skater culture zeitgeist, with an in-house brand alongside all the hyped-up labels you’d expect to see, from Ripndip to BAPE.
There are two levels, though the first only features a couple of clothing racks and trendy displays, along with a seated area (we’ll explain why shortly). The bottom floor has much more to offer, from contemporary apparel to fresh kicks. Cactuses are a major theme here, with the spiky plants adorning the space throughout.
This is all nothing new, but hear us out – this isn’t your average clothing store. Yes, this Decades location features an unusual mash-up lifestyle concept: It doubles as a bar (with coffee and cocktails available on the menu) and a gelato shop, dubbed DES2ERT, behind the counter. And not just any gelato shop. These scoops of authentic Italian gelato are whipped up by none other than Lingxia Gelato Lab, located originally inside The Crib.
We’re pleased to confirm that Lingxia’s gelatos are still outstanding here, even oddly surrounded by Supreme gear, with inventive flavors like the very on-brand cactus variety, made with actual cactus and aloe (it tastes like aloe).
So, there you have it: You can now look at the latest skate gear with a cool cocktail and Lingxia’s creamy gelato in hand.
